The historic core of Prague is a unique architectural ensemble and it has been part of UNESCO World Cultural and Natural Heritage since 1992. Walk through the Prague centre is also a walk through the history of all architectural styles over the past 1000 years, it´s unique feature of Prague. The historical centre is full of golden towers and cupolas of churches and temples that´s why it is called “City of hundred spires”.
The centre consists of Prague Castle, Hradčany, Malá strana, Old town and Josefov, New Town and Vyšehrad.
You will find a wide range of world-famous historical sights. The Charles Bridge connects Malá Strana with Old Town and it is the oldest bridge in Prague. In the middle of the Old Town is the Old Town Square dominated by Old Town Hall with astronomical clock. Prague is also associated with Jewish tradition. In the Jewish Town you can also find 8 synagogues, Jewish museum and cemeteries.
