Karlova Koruna

Karlova Koruna castle in Chlumec nad Cidlinou was built in 1721-1723 as a representative seat of the Earl František Ferdinand Kinský who was the Supreme Chancellor and the hunter of Czech Crown.

The castle plans were developed by Jan Blažej Santini-Aichl and the construction was led by another well-known architect of the high baroque F.M.Kaňka. There is a vast castle park and the English style garden in it.
Interior exposition informs a visitor about the history of Kinský family in a row of portraits and with the breeding of Kinský horses – Chlumec dun horses.

The castle is an ideal place for a wedding ceremony. Representative and romantic spaces of the castle create a unique atmosphere which makes this special day unforgettable for you and your guests. The castle chapel located next to the castle is suitable for religious ceremonies.
